2012 Holsteiner Gelding (Cormint x Alexis Z x Laval I). Barn name, “Cory.”

Cory is a lovely young gelding with a million dollar brain and impeccable lineage with relatives winning world wide (including LB Convall, who just won the Grand Prize at Aachen). Imported from Germany in March 2016. Completely at ease in new and unfamiliar situations and has yet to take so much as a peek at a jump with an impressive showing at multiple large venues (indoors and out, on sand, GGT, and in a big grass Grand Prix field).

Cory has shown through the 1.0m (3’3″) jumpers (in the 4yo Young Jumper Development classes in WA and BC, Canada) and the 1st Year Pre-Green Hunters (3′). Jumps water, ditches, logs, hunter jumps, jumper jumps, and everything we’ve put in front of him in addition to being happy to canter through puddles and show in the pouring rain. His breeding dictates that he should be a horse that (as my German breeders say) “anyone can ride,” and that has proven itself true. I have video of my 8 year old daughter taking Cory over jumps and riding him on the flat – this is the first horse of this age I’ve ever felt comfortable putting a kid on.

Cory is extremely straight forward and easy to figure out.  He has great potential as an equitation horse or jumper. Would be a fabulous horse for a kid who wants a horse capable of showing in multiple rings and being competitive in all of them. Shod in steel, goes in a D-ring snaffle. More “go” than “whoa” with a forward thinking attitude, but never anxious or spooky. Scope for whatever you can place in front of him and a full set of clean x-rays.
